Organic Tub Scrub
One thing you most definitely never want to do is clean your tub with toxic chemicals and then soak in that tub. Try the following mixture as a toxin-free, eco-friendly, homemade tub scrub. Here are the easy steps to cleaning your tub with castile based soaps.
Ingredients: Baking soda, Organic Liquid Soap, distilled water.
Directions: Combine 2/3 cup Organic Liquid Soap with 1 cup distilled water in a spray bottle. Grab your baking soda.
How to Use:
- Heavily spread baking soda on the tub.
- Spray the Organic Liquid Soap mixture on top of the backing soda.
- Scrub with a brush or sponge.
- Wipe clean.
This scrub can also be used in the shower, on countertops, even on hard to clean pans.
Organic Dish Soap
Our homemade dish soap is easy on your hands and will not leave any petroleum residue.
Ingredients: Organic Liquid Soap and tap water.
Directions: Pre-dilute Organic Liquid Soap 1:10 with water in dish soap bottle.
How to Use: Squirt on a scrub brush and scrub dishes.
Organic All-Purpose Household Cleaner
Use a spray bottle for easily all-around cleaning purposes.
Ingredients: Organic white vinegar, tap water, Organic Liquid Soap.
Directions:
- Fill ¼ of spray bottle with organic white vinegar, ¾ with water and add a few squirts of Organic Liquid Soap.
- Add a few drops of your favorite aromatic essential oils can always make your DIY projects a little more fun! Try adding a few drops of orange, lemon, lavender or tea tree essential oils. All these oils have antibacterial properties as well.
How to Use: Spray on counters, sinks, anywhere you need a good clean.
Organic, Streak-Free Glass Cleaner
Similar to our All-Purpose Household Cleaner, it's so easy to make!
Ingredients: Organic white vinegar, warm tap water, Organic Liquid Soap.
Directions: Grab a spray bottle fill ½ with organic white vinegar, ½ warm water, and add 2 tsps of Organic Liquid Soaps.
Again, we love adding a few drops of some organic tea tree and lemon essential oil to make the mixture even more effective.
How to Use: Shake well, spray on your windows and glass, wipe with paper towel or newspaper, and leave your windows streak-free and clean.
Organic Toilet Cleaner
Wary of the chemical fragrance coming from your toilet bowl cleaner? Try this new/old fashioned method for a non-toxic clean.
Ingredients: Distilled water, baking soda, Organic Liquid Soap.
Directions:
- Fill a spray bottle with ⅔ water and ⅓ Organic Liquid Soaps.
- Shake a thin layer of baking soda around the toilet and spray the Organic Liquid Soap mixture on top of it.
- Scrub with a scrub brush to leave your bathroom squeaky clean.
