We use Rosemary Essential Oil and Extract in our product as a natural preservative because it is the most effective preservative found in nature.  It is the best natural preservative at better at preventing oxidative decay and preventing loss of fatty acids in natural oils ~ in other words natural oils can become rancid if not preserved properly.

Some of the common preservatives found in skin care products include ascorbic acid, castor oil, phenols, vitamin e, salt, vinegar, alcohol, sorbic acid, rosemary oil extract, oregano extract, benzoic acid and benzophenone, tocopherol, germaben ii, diatomaceous earth, grapefruit seed extract, and sugar.
